The recently renovated Tierhag Alpine farming is located at 1140 m above sea level near Schnebelhorn mountain (1292 m), the highest peak in the canton of Zurich.
Break with a view
The guesthouse with its sunny panoramic terrace and the cosy restaurant invites you to stay for a while. Enjoy a break and delicious food such as salads, brawn, Alpine macaroni, fries, bratwurst, cordon bleu and much more before you head for the summit.
Tierhag also includes a farm with around 120 cattle that are grazed on the alp in summer.
Getting there
Combine your visit to Tierhag Alpine farming with a scenic hike to the highest peak of the canton of Zurich:
Steg station – Schnebelhorn – Steg station: 14.7 km | 610 metres difference in altitude | 5 h. You will reach the mountain inn within approximately 2 h 15 minutes from Steg station.
