The observatory on Schatzböl at Sternenberg has been founded in 1965. We have been offering guided tours to interested groups, schools and families ever since.
Small but perfectly situated
Karl Küenzli has built the observatory at the Schatzböl viewing point together with his wife and his half-brother in 1965 with a lot of enthusiasm and joy. The observatory is not affected by any light pollution due to the perfect location. In clear nights, the telescope allows a clear view of stars, planets, fog and galaxies of the universe.
Guided tours
The observatory organizes individual guided tours after dusk throughout the year in good viewing conditions. Warm clothing and good shoes are recommended when it gets cooler in the evenings.
